LAST NIGHT I WEPT FOR TAYLOR SWIFT

LAST NIGHT I WEPT FOR TAYLOR SWIFT

By Clara Popp

A young woman traverses a city devastated by the impacts of Climate Change.

As she does so, she is interrupted by the insidious advertising of disaster capitalism.

A wonderfully poetic, thoughtful and funny audio play by a brilliant young writer.

Intriguingly, this piece plays not only with language, but with the very notion of classical Western dramaturgy.

It questions a traditional sense of completion and catharsis, as we don’t know how this will end. And there is always work to be done. We’re left wondering whether the dramaturgy we’re used to is fit for purpose in the Climate Crisis.
